3rd Year Science Habitat Study – Rocky Shore

As part of Junior Cycle Science one of our third-year classes completed a habitat study on the rocky shore. The beach is a great resource that the school is very lucky to have nearby. The students recorded the air temperature, water temperature and pH of the rock pools they were studying. They then used classification keys to identify producers, consumers, and decomposers. Using the information gathered they attempted to design food webs for the Irish rocky shore habitat.
